Back in June, fans got a first handle of emerging Devon-based singer/songwriter Alice Jemima with the Liquorice EP, which boasted the delicate and captivating 'So'. Luckily, the break for Jemima was short-lived as she's already returned with a brand new single and a debut album in the near future.

'Dodged A Bullet' captures the effortless soothing ambient pop groove of 'So', but the pace is more evenly tempered. Definitively, the effort is inspired by The xx and Shura. On the track, Jemima says, "A simple, universal narrative about a relationship that didn't work out, and the realisation that getting out was a good thing."

Listen to 'Dodged A Bullet' below and grab the single September 26th on Sunday Best Recordings. Her debut album is set for release sometime later this year.

Jemima also has a handful of live sets scheduled for the fall:

  • September 11th 2016 - Bestival Big Top Stage/ Isle Of Wight
  • October 8th 2016 - Neighbourhood Festival / Manchester
  • October 15th 2016 - Hackney Wonderland / London
