Dance-pop duo AlunaGeorge are set to play a show tomorrow in Minecraft, in what has been billed as the first-ever live concert in the video game. Broiler, Lemaitre, and Juniorsymfonikerne will also be part of the event, which takes place during Norway's gaming festival The Gathering. Each act will actually be playing in the real world, with the music beamed in to players during an online Minecraft session. Characters have been created to move and mimic each of the musicians' performances.

Heisholt Inc. have been behind the project. "There have been plenty of other music experiences in the Minecraft universe, but not like this," Heeisholt Inc's Erik Heisholt says. "This will be the world’s first live Minecraft concert... I’m sure they’ll be able to accommodate around 2000 to 3000 people, so this will have the same sort of feel as seeing a show in small concert venue."

AlunaGeorge's forthcoming album I Remember is coming this spring.
