California's seminal Amoeba Records, which describes itself as the "world's largest independent record store", has announced plans to expand to a digital platform.

Amoeba is now offering digital sales of some extremely rare and out-of-print LPs, 45s, and 78s in the Vinyl Vaults section of its newly remodeled website. The record store is remastering much of the dead material, adding nearly a dozen records per day to the vault.

The long-awaited project, which features over 4,000 bios and 6,500 reviews, has been in the works for nearly six years. Check out the Vinyl Vault here for yourself.
