Andrew Bird is one of many artists that has recorded a cover for the Good People Rock compilation from the Yellow Bird Project (the Montreal-based organisation that raises money for numerous charities).

Featuring versions of songs by Hot Chip, Beach House, Sharon Van Etten and TV On The Radio, the upcoming ten-track release sees musicians like Alec Ounsworth, Elvis Perkins, Hayden and many others contributing to this wonderful project, currently being crowdfunding via Pledge Music to pay for mastering, artwork, marketing, and distribution.

The album's opening track is Andrew Bird's tak on New Pornographers' 'The Fake Headlines', from the Canadian band's debut album, Mass Romantic. Listen below.
