German-English singer-songwriter Anika, born Annika Henderson, may be relatively unknown, but her voice has character all its own.

Henderson, who also worked as a journalist between Berlin and Bristol, was discovered several years back by Portishead member and producer Geoff Barrow, who enlisted her in his Beak> side-project.

Her Kim Gordon-esque vocals are meant to sound distant and human, aching for more, as it does on her cover of the Chromatics Kill For Love cut 'In The City'.

The cover, which is available below, will be featured on Henderson's upcoming EP, which is due out April 16th via Stone Throw Records.
