Anna Meredith's brand new single 'The Vapours' will officially be released on December 2 but today, she's shared new visuals for the Varmints cut. The video for the song was directed by Ed Warren and comes before a string of UK and European live shows, including her biggest headline show to date at London's Scala on November 23.

"This is my favourite track on the album," says Meredith of The Vapours. "I think it's one of the best things I’ve written. I just totally went for it and had such a good time writing this. I really pride myself on controlling my pacing and builds and the ‘delivering’ material and think I get it right here."

"I wanted to capture the organised chaos of the song by filming each band member individually performing their parts within a white cube and cutting between them as they come in and out of the song, throughout until the big finale," explains Warren. "All the lighting and laser work was triggered live as if an on-stage performance in an attempt to mirror the energy and complexity of the song itself. The edit has been cut to precision in an attempt to follow the song on its ever building journey. It was a hell of a lot of fun!"
