Afrobeat pioneers Antibalas are set to release their fifth album – and first for new label Daptone – the eponymous Antibalas on August 6th.

The 12-piece ensemble, who were formed out of a Brooklyn warehouse in 1997, have collaborated with the likes of TV on the Radio, Public Enemy and Paul Simon, and are credited with helping to introduce afrobeat to a wider audience.

They’ve also just unveiled a new track taken from the self-titled album, 'Sare Kon Kon (Redux)' which can be streamed below. It’s a fiery, sax- infused cauldron of a song, replete with enough cyclical percussion rhythms and infectious chanting to keep any dancing circle moving into the wee hours.
