For the past 3 years Oxford born film maker Jon Spira has been creating a full-length film about the Oxford music scene over the last 30 years. The film, narrated by cult comedian Steward Lee, a regular Oxford gig-goer in the 80’s, features some of the most recognisable faces in the world of music. Including, the likes of Radiohead, Supergrass, Stornoway, Foals and lot of other Oxford bands that you should know but probably don’t. Check out the film’s trailer below.

Anyone Can Play Guitar is three generation of one music scene, telling their story in their own words and you have the chance to be part of it! Here’s the important bit, in order to finish the film Anyone Can Play Guitar needs to raise $15,000 to pay for the music and footage clearances. Once this money is raised the film will be 100% complete and in legal order. For donating you can get a copy of the exclusive Donors-only DVD of the film with extras that will be unavailable anywhere else. Y can also get your name listed on the DVD with chances to attend the premiere, special screenings and to be credited as an Executive Producer (getting an credit).
