Last month, Illinois-based Appleby shared 'Castles' and announced details of his forthcoming Down Dance EP. That EP is finally being unleashed later this month. But until then, he's shared a new track from the project and he's brought along some friends for the ride.

'Random Love' sees Appleby switch up the tempo and showcase a different side to his enigmatic persona. Lyrically, the record speaks of modern romance while Elias Adib's swooping, woozy production wraps everything up into a delicate yet forceful production. Chicago duo Iris Temple provides some additional vocals and a standout guitar solo that Prince or Dev Hynes would be jealous of. "It came about pretty much how all of our tunes do," Appleby told Pigeons & Planes about the track. "Just me next to Elias riffing an idea the moment he touches a keyboard. I'm just grateful our everyday homies Iris Temple joined us."

Pay attention, and listen closely because you'll discover additional vocals from one more unexpected guest. "To have some of the most important people in my life join me on this record including my mom saying 'Justin you are special', warms my heart in a way no other record can." 'Random Love' is available to download now while the Down Dance EP will be released on April 25.
