Tegan and Sara were undoubtedly the biggest winners at last night's Juno Awards. The awards ceremony, a Canadian response to the American Grammys, saw the girls taking home four awards: Group Of The Year, Songwriter Of The Year, Single Of The Year for 'Closer', and Pop Album Of The Year for Heartthrob.

Although it was an unforgettable night for Tegan and Sara (who have been nominated several times but never won), the biggest award went straight to Montreal's fav indie band Arcade Fire, who won Album of the Year for Reflektor. They couldn't be at the cermony to collect the award (they were performing at Lollapalooza Chile) but CBC reports the band sent a taped acceptance video: "Hey, thank you guys so much," frontman Win Butler said on the pre-recorded statement. "We really wanted to be there but we're in South America right now. Thank you so much for the Juno. We're so excited."

Also absent was one of the most controversial Canada exports, Justin Bieber, booed by the crowd for not being present to collect his Fan Choice Award. Check the full list of winners here.
