Arcade Fire are set to pay their respects to David Bowie this weekend (January 16) in spectacular fashion.

The Canadian band, whose career was always praised by the late musician, will be celebrating the life and work of Bowie with a parade through the streets of New Orleans.

The event is being called Pretty Things: A Memorial Parade For Bowie and will see Win Butler & co. joining the Preservation Hall Jazz Band; attendees are being instructed to wear their "best Bowie outfit or something more strange."

Bowie's representatives have already released a statement saying that although no official memorials are being organised, fans are welcome to remember the singer and celebrate his art in any way they find suitable.
