Permits for major electronic music festivals will no longer be approved by the Buenos Aires government following the deaths of six people at Time Warp festival earlier this month. The ban will remain until there is a new law approved to help prevent drug abuse at music festivals, according to the city's mayor Horacio Rodriguez Larreta.

Six people died and another nine were left in critical condition at this year's opening night festivities. They were suspected of having suffered acute poisoning. Five people were arrested. The promoters cancelled the second night of the event and issued a statement via their website, which you can read here.
