It's a genuine joy to write a news story about Arthur Russell all these years later; he's the artist that keeps on giving, a fact which is of no surprise once thought over - given how visionary and ludicrously ahead of his time he was.

The story: Russell's historian, Steve Knutson of Audika Records, unearthed further material in the archives after the partner of Russell, Tom Lee, alerted him to an unseen video for the astonishing 'Let's Go Swimming'. The video is the creation of legendary producer Walter Gibbons, consisting purely of 'found' footage by Gibbons.

The 1986 track is now to be reissued on Audika featuring three versions of the song - including the Gulf Stream Dub, Puppy Surf Dub and Coastal Dub versions, as well as an 11-minute keyboard funk version of Make 1,2. It will be available as a 12”, CD and download on September 27th from here
