For the first time, Arthur Russell's 1994 album Another Thought will be released on vinyl. Initially released two years after his tragic death in 1992, it features songs recorded by Russell over an eight year span between 1982 and 1990.

Although it was originally released through Point Music, the new vinyl edition will be released via Arc Light Editions - a new label whose main intention is to press "important albums" to vinyl. Speaking to The Quietus, Arc Light owner and The Wire member Jennifer Lucy unveiled plans to make vinyl versions of albums that have "been out of print for too long" and "become extortionately priced".

This is definitely something to watch for all of you that prefer the crackle of a vinyl over anything else.
