I'm Jodie Marie, I'm a 20 year old singer songwriter from Pembrokeshire in South West Wales. I still live in Narberth, but spend most of my time in London these days. I like London but I don't think I'll be moving there any time soon, I'm pretty happy commuting the 4 and a half hours on a train. I'm too much of a country girl to move to the hectic life people lead in London. I love being outdoors...anything from surfing, cliff jumping, kayaking, camping, walking through the woods. I live for the space and freedom of where I live. I'm literally a teapot and I love dark rum and also ale. If I didn't have a career in music I thought about studying Holistic Therapies. I began writing with Bernard Butler at the age of 16 after being "spotted" in a B&B in Pembrokeshire. I got a record deal with Verve, Decca in September 2010 which I never even imagined would happen to me! Music is my biggest passion!

Listening to: A lot of stuff really! (This is where I list lots of  music)... Anything from Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Free, Janis Joplin, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Jimi Hendrix, The Tallest Man on Earth, Queens of the Stone Age, Jeff Buckley, Besh o Drom, Ruthie Foster, Love, Bob Marley, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Joan Baez, Nina Simone, Jake Bugg, Ben Howard, Big Bill Broonzy, The Band...I'll have to stop I'm waffling!

Reading: I love books, bit of a book worm! I've been reading a lot of Jodi Picoult books over the years, I think she's a great author. I've recently finished a book on Jimi Hendrix, A Room Full of Mirrors by Charles R. Cross. Also I recently read Mr. Nice by Howard Marks.

Watching: I don't really watch a lot of TV to be honest. I watch a few films, not many. My favourite film is 'Into The Wild'. I also like 'Ray' about Ray Charles, and 'Lords of Dogtown'. I'm racking my brains to think of more but i can't think! Sorry!

Eating: I love a good Indian or tapas! I always remember when I was in primary school whenever you had to answer the question to favourite food, I'd say Macaroni cheese. I still do like mac and cheese but I wouldn't say it's my favourite anymore! Ha. I love a good classic chicken caesar salad too. I love messy foods especially Tortillas! Yum.

Promo: You can catch Jodie supporting Ed Harcourt at Matts and Phreds in Manchester on December 15th and at Bush Hall on the 16th.
