Avey Tare started Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks his kind-of-a-band/kind-of-a-side-project last year. The project features Angel Deradoorian (Dirty Projectors, Deradoorian), and drummer Jeremy Hyman (Ponytail/Dan Deacon), and they've been playing a handful of dates in Tare's psych-down time, but now Domino have announced that they'll release Enter The Slasher House, the band's debut album on April 7th.

The trio will all add their newfound SoCal roots to the record, but Tare's name is affixed to their title for a reason. He wrote skeletal versions of the albums eight songs on acoustic before inviting Deradoorian and Hyman to throw their own warped little flourishes. These flourishes can be heard on 'Little Fang' the first cut released from the album, it's a relatively straightforward clean guitar-pop song that finds Tare voice in a low key mood, until its production slashes, stretches, and tears it apart.
