Azealia Banks's long-awaited album, Broke With Expensive Taste, will not feature her collaboration with Disclosure after the brother duo were apparently 'rude' about her in an interview.

During an interview with the AU Review at Listen Out festival in Sydney, Australia, Banks said: "I did something with Disclosure but they were, like, really rude in an interview, so I canned it."

Disclosure and Banks went into the studio earlier this year to work on a track together for her album, but the pair tried to play down the collaboration. During an interview with Dutch radio station, 3voor12 earlier this year, Guy Lawrence said of the meeting, "We don't have a song with her yet. We've met her once. I think she's kind of taken to Twitter quite heavily with the fact that she's meeting with us. And people now think that we've made the greatest song of all time, and it doesn't even actually have a chorus yet."

When asked by the interviewer whether the collaboration would make it as a b-side, Banks responded, "It can be an F-side, a fuck-you side." She also revealed how she might leak the track.

Update: Disclosure have come out punching... sort of...

The duo spoke to Triple J about the situation, and it seems they're not bothered about it all: "We made the beat on the way there in the car, so I don't give a damn if she uses it. Whatever," says Guy.

"Maybe when I said [in the interview] that she's 'taken to it quite heavily', it came across as rude - but what I meant was that whenever we've worked with anyone in the past, we just keep it secret," explains Lawrence. "Because if nothing comes of the session, nobody's disappointed. But if you build all the hype before, then you have to deliver an amazing song."

There we have it.
