Margate-based BABii recently exploded onto our radar with debut single 'Phantom', a creeping and inhabitable electronic pop song. This week she follows it up with another immersive and vivid track called 'SEiiZURE', which apparently almost didn't see the light of day. BABii explains:

"ii NEARLY PUT THiiS SONG iiN THE BiiN BUT iiGLOOGHOST HEARD A SMALL CLiiP FROM iiT WHEN ii USED TO POST PARTS OF SONGS ON MY iiNSTAGRAM AND ENCOURAGED ME TO FiiNiiSH iiT. NOW iiT’S ONE OF MY FAVOURiiTE SONGS ON THE RECORD."

We are also thankful to Iglooghost for his encouragement of the young artist and his determination to get 'SEiiZURE' finished and out in the world, because it's an absolute pleasure. It starts intimately, BABii confessing "I dreamt of how disposable you made me feel when we were one." The track expands from there with heady walls of refracted atmospherics surround layers of hissing and popping production, but BABii turns further inwards to her unique thoughts. Her voice dances amidst slashing and soothing synth melodies, as her words again turn cryptic, perhaps a true signal that she is reliving some kind of 'SEiiZURE'.

BABii is signed to DeathWaltz Originals, who will be releasing her debut album HiiDE later this year. Check out our Tech I Can't Live Without feature with BABii.

Keep up with the exciting new artist by following her on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
