London cultural hotspot The Barbican have just announced an exciting string of music-related shows in their Spring program. The events hope to showcase the crux between electronica, sound art and audio visual manipulation.

First up, an evening of surely mind-blowing proportions as experimental producer James Holden and neuroscientist Marcus du Sautoy aim to explore the nature of consciousness this Saturday (2nd March).

Following that, world-renowned producer Ryoji Ikeda will return to the Barbican once again, using his wholly unique displays of music, art and technology to examine the world of Quantum Theory on two nights in March (27th and 28th).

Last but certainly not least, East London collective Light Surgeons will present their immersive documentary 'Super Everything*'. Using a blend of striking visual manipulation and live music, the film hopes to explore the concepts of identity and ritual in Malaysia and will be shown at the Hackney Empire on Friday 19th April.
