In anticipation of their debut LP, out May 3, New York dream-pop collective, Barrie delivers ‘Saturated,’ the third and most minimal single from their upcoming record titled Happy To Be Here.

A delicate synth and bass number with a blanket of blissfully warm guitar driving home lovelorn sentiments, ‘Saturated’ is a deeply textured and aromatic offering in spite of its peeled back posture. When compared to the record’s other two singles, ‘Darjeeling’ and ‘Clover,’ the Brooklyn-based quintet’s latest may be their most minimal, but what ‘Saturated’ lacks in noise and grandiosity it more than makes up for in vulnerability and raw tranquility.

Accentuating the effective subtleness of ‘Saturated,’ Barrie’s frontwoman, Barrie Lindsay says, "[Saturated] is pretty pure. It came out fully formed, sounding mostly like how it sounds now. It’s minimal and exposed, kind of vulnerable but in a confident way. I want people to relate to that state of pure, open saturation. I want this song to feel like a crush."

By simply substituting the word infatuated for one far more intense—saturated, the atmosphere Barrie brews via coy lyrics and a cordial sound, makes their newest song feels like a crush indeed.

We still have a ways to go before the release of Barrie's debut album Happy To Be Here, but until then, stream the gauzy new single above and follow Barrie on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
