BEAK> have announced the release of their long-awaited third album; it's called >>> (as you'd expect) and comes out through Invada Records/Temporary Residence on September 21st. >>> will feature 'Allé Sauvage', the song they teased with a live studio rendition a couple of weeks ago, and also 'Brean Down', which they have released today.

Invada label manager Redg Weeks adds this about the album: “>>> definitely sounds like a step forward. The production and feel of the first two albums was like listening through frosted glass; a band playing behind a curtain. Now we are hearing Beak> in sharp focus, but without forfeiting what the band see as its ‘wrongness’. This could be the result of having played bigger stages and festivals - something that was never part of the plan - or perhaps it is just a reaction to the infinite cut & paste fuzz pedal kraut bands on the planet.”

'Brean Down' certainly backs up what Weeks is saying. The band are known for their taciturn ways, but 'Brean Down' brings them more into focus than we've heard before; higher clarity, more magnetising weirdness and vocals that are intelligible and maybe even sing-alongable. Having said that 'Brean Down' is still unmistakably BEAK> in its alien arrangement and mind control sound, adding up to a thrilling tension that is entirely theirs.

Following the release of >>> on September 21st, BEAK> will be doing a fair but of touring in Europe and the US; their dates are as follows:
