Following their recent victory over Goldieblox (for the tune of $1 million!), Beastie Boys have won yet another copyright battle, this time with Monster Energy Drink.

The lawsuit was filed back in 2012 after the drinks company used the legendary group's music without their consent. The shady move was made worse by the fact that it went against the will of the late Adam Yauch, who banned his work from being used in adverts following his death.

The band eventually won the case - leading to Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz and Mike 'Mike D' Diamond pocketing $1.7 million in damages.
