Flash back to October 2013 when Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. first announced Cadillactica, and it's a bit surprising how long the wait has been. For those who normally follow K.R.I.T., his prolific nature is well-known. So while the year-plus wait was surprising, the 28-year-old star managed to squeeze out some new material back in March to ease anticipation - including his See Me On Top 4 mixtape.

Still, the hype for K.R.I.T.'s second official studio LP was a long time coming. Now, with less than a month to go before its official release, the Southern rap star brought out the LP's magnetic title track. 'Cadillactica' is the listener's first ease into the over-arching idea of what Cadillactica means (which he partly explains in his See Me On Top 4 mixtape). DJ Dahi scores the track's smooth-as-all-hell production, which features some of the fastest verses from K.R.I.T.'s continually growing catalog. If 'Cadillactica' is a preview of what's to come, K.R.I.T.'s new LP may be a benchmark for his emergence into prime time.

Stream the single below exclusive on Spotify. Cadillactica will see release November 11th on Def Jam and Cinematic Music Group. The 15-track album will feature guest spots from Raphael Saadiq, E-40, Wiz Khalifa, Bun B, Lupe Fiasco, and ASAP Ferg, among others..
