Ex-Coral guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones has announced he'll be following up his excellent sophomore album A Bad Wind Blows In My Heart (2013) with a new full-length this fall: West Kirby County Primary was written and recorded entirely in his childhood bedroom at his mother's house in West Kirby (although it was later mixed at Liverpool's Parr Street Studios) and is due out on November 6th via Domino.

Preceding the new LP is 'Two to Birkenhead', the album's first single whose James Slater-directed video can be watched below. Judging by this first sample, Ryder-Jones' new album will see him returning to a more guitar-driven sound, as opposed to the piano intimacy that characterised both If... and A Bad Wind Blows In My Heart; listen below.

West Kirby County Primary's tracklisting is as follows:

  • 1. 'Tell Me You Don’t Love Me Watching'
  • 2. 'Two To Birkenhead'
  • 3. 'Let’s Get Away From Here'
  • 4. 'Daniel'
  • 5. 'Put It Down Before You Break It'
  • 6. 'Catharine and Huskisson'
  • 7. 'Wild Roses'
  • 8. 'You Can’t Hide A Light With The Dark'
  • 9. 'Satellites'
  • 10. 'Seabirds'
