Twitter is still looking to break into the music industry somehow after its #music app failed and shut down around a week ago. You also may be familiar with how Billboard decided to start adding YouTube data to its formula - now the two companies have decided to come together to create the Billboard Twitter Real-Time Charts.

The chart will create “custom in-Tweet charts and in-Tweet video round ups of the week in music on Twitter.” They'll also look at songs being talked about at the moment in addition to over time. The companies say that "these powerful co-branded charts will reshape for consumers and the industry the way music success is measured,” so, I mean, there's that. Are you looking forward to seeing what they come up with?
