The Smashing Pumpkins played the last stop on their In Plainsong acoustic tour Monday night. On the way home, Billy Corgan unleashed some plane thoughts, thanking fans on the band's Facebook. He also wished a happy birthday to former founding-Pumpkin, D'Arcy Wrezky, (who had mentioned in a recent interview that she would consider going back to the band.)

Corgan addressed Wretzky's comments and potential reunion news by saying: "I'm encouraged to hear that she is playing music once more, and writing songs. As I've often said, no one had better musical discernment in our band than she," he said. "And as I feel speculation start to swirl about what happens next for SP, I'd like to say quite simply and directly that what matters most to Jeff [Schroeder, current Smashing Pumpkins guitarist] and I is the music."
