Earlier this year, Birdy released her latest album Beautiful Lies, which swiftly went on to reach number four on the UK charts. On top of delivering a cohesive project, dense in glittery alt-pop, she has continued her hectic year performing at The Baftas, selling out the Roundhouse and has just announced another UK tour which has nearly sold out Hammersmith Apollo. Now, Birdy has brought things back to where it all began by delivering a detailed behind-the-scenes look at the philosophy behind the making of Beautiful Lies.

"This is my coming of age record. I've learned so much in the last few years and have been able to use the many experiences – good and bad - as inspiration when writing this album," she's mentioned of the project. "This is the album that I've been able to steer most confidently and proudly, from the writing to the production to the artwork. A lot of the album is about finding light in the dark and overcoming the times when we feel completely lost."
