Hailing from Stockholm, Birthday Girl has developed a reputation for its noisy and aggressive sound. You certainly don't get praised by the likes of Iggy Pop without a little edge to your music. But on the band's new single 'I Came Here To Eat,' that noise is infused with a little groove and a healthy dollop of passion, resulting in one of the band's most rewarding singles to date.

"The lyrics came fast because I was trying to sum up an impulsive, immediate, lustful feeling," says vocalist/guitarist Fran Baxter. "The song stays the same, with a driving beat and chords consistent with the emotion. Although it’s aggressive, the overall feeling is positive because I want the song to groove so people can move to it."
