After filming both established and up and coming acts from the back of their cab for five years, Black Cab Sessions have today announced they will be launching their own record label, BCS Records.

The sessions have proven a massive hit both home and abroad with Channel 4 showing 'Black Cab Sessions USA' last year and their Black Cab popping up at festivals the world over.

BCS announced the new label this afternoon via twitter: "Since we started, we have been about not only putting big well known bands in the back of the cab, but also brand new artists. We felt it important to have the 'big' with the 'soon to be big'. Its been an honor to work with people like Jack white, Brian Wilson, The Roots, John Legend etc but its also been equally important to discover and showcase bands we think have that extra something, and put them on the same platform. We were first to showcase bands like Lianne La Havas, Michael Kiwanuka, Dry The River etc. We're thrilled about that but now we want to work with our discoveries in a broader way and give them the tools to get their music out there. We're launching BCS RECORDS - a home to new artists where we can be their 'midwife' and help them navigate the turbulent music industry.”

Black Cab Sessions then went on to announce their inaugural signing to the new label as London based singer-songwriter Wall. You can check out a few Wall tracks below while she also plays the Sebright Arms on the 15th August tickets available here. We're big fans of Black Cab Sessions and wish them the best of luck in their new venture.
