It has been a tumultuous few years for Blink-182, as bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker have split from longtime guitarist Tom DeLonge, who has spent the past several years diving further into his obsession with UFOs. Filling DeLonge's void is Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba, who has joined the group after years of friendship.

But now, after much speculation, waiting and teasing, Blink-182 have released their newest single, 'Bored To Death,' and announced their new album, California, which is due out on July 1 (182nd day of the year). According to Hoppus and Barker during an interview with KROQ, the band considered alternate titles such as No Future, OBGYN Kenobi and Nude Erection.

The album's lead single, 'Bored To Death,' cruises in on drums eerily reminiscent of 2003's hit single 'Feeling This,' before launching into booming pop-punk that makes you feel like you are in the early 2000s again. The song features Hoppus and Skiba trading vocal duties, as well as a soaring anthemic chorus. "Save your breath, I'm nearly bored to death," shouts Hoppus.

California from Blink-182 is due out on July 1.
