Last night Blur kicked off a series of live performances which will culminate in their Olympic closing ceremony concert. The foursome dropped into Maida Vale for two special BBC sessions, the first on 6 Music featured a six song set followed by a Q&A - lasting a total of three hours. Listeners were treated to a first ever performance of 'Caramel' taken from the album 13 as well as B-side 'Young & Lovely', which the band were playing live for only the second time.

The rarities didn't stop there, with coverage switching to BBC Radio 2 the boys continued with a further twelve song set including classics like 'Beetlebum', 'Tender' and 'The Universal', as well as the first performance of 'Mr. Briggs' since 1992.
