Last week, Bob Dylan was announced as the recipient of the 2016 Nobel Laureate For Literature. But it seems like the songwriting icon may not be too keen to receive the award as he's completely curving the Novel Prize committee.

It turns out they haven't heard back from Dylan since he was announced as the winner, according to the Swedish Academy's secretary, Sara Danius. "Right now we are doing nothing. I have called and sent emails to his closest collaborator and received very friendly replies. For now, that is certainly enough."

But the show must go on and the ceremony will be held on December 10, with or without Dylan. "If [Dylan] doesn't want to come, he won't come. It will be a big party in any case and the honour belongs to him," Danius said.
