While the NBA announced that they will be streaming weekly games in virtual reality, changing the face of sports entertainment indefinitely, Boiler Room plans to do a similar thing for music. The music event company is linking with VR brand Inception to build the world's first virtual reality music venue.

Together, Inception and Boiler Room will produce a number of special events in 2017, when the venue is set to open. Viewers will be able to watch from their headsets at home. The purpose of the new building is to "bring people even closer to what it’s like being at a sweaty rave or an amazing concert half-way across the world," says Boiler Room CEO Blaise Bellville.
