We recently brought you 'Follow The Lights', the first single released by Norway's Pom Poko since signing to Bella Union. They've now followed up that track with the news of their debut album, Birthday, which will come out on February 22nd. They've also shared a new track called 'My Blood'.

Pom Poko's new single is another erratic smasher, bouncing with violent glee through its opening minutes, singer Ragnhild managing the energy with dextrous vocal skills. When Pom Poko lean off the gas and open up a pool of serenity, she gets to show off the beauty in her voice too - but the moment is short lived as the band burst out of hiding again. Throughout the 3 and a half minutes of 'My Blood', Pom Poko never let us ease in, but rather keep switching time signatures, energy and direction in thrilling ways; it's a white knuckle ride that we're still figuring out after several repeat listens.
