Bose and Beats seem to be on the right path to solving their dispute outside of court - with both parties asking the International Trade Commission to stop its investigation over any potential patent infringement.

The feud between the two parties began last July, when Bose filed a lawsuit against Beats, claiming the latter had stolen ideas covered by its patents on noise cancellation technology, which is the key to Bose's success. Even though the court case is looking unlikely to go ahead, Bose and Beats are far from friendly: NFL players are currently being fined for wearing Beats headphones (following an agreement between Bose and NFL) and rumour has it that Apple (current owner of Beats) may look to remove Bose products from its shelves.
