In November, Welsh band Boy Azooga sprung onto the scene with their William Onyeabor-inspired single 'Face Behind Her Cigarette', which has gone on to become a fixture of playlists through the winter, as its upbeat African vibes remind us of warmer times. They've now followed this up with 'Loner Boogie', which comes as the second single to be taken from their upcoming debut album 1,2 Kung Fu.

'Loner Boogie' is more of a straight-ahead rock song that still maintains that downcast cheekiness and infectiousness that made their debut single such a replayable track. Although 'Loner Boogie' only lasts 2 minutes, it takes Boy Azooga no time to get into their stride, presenting a shimmying rock rave up while singer Davey Newington sings surreptitiously of isolation hunting you down - and all you want to do is escape this fate by riding along that driving rock'n'roll to freedom.

'Loner Boogie' also comes with a video by Toby Cameron, which explores the chaotic Cardiff music scene. Newington says of the video "It's a scary world out there these days, sometimes you don't want to go outside. Sometimes you get the Loner Boogie. Follow us into the Cardiff Transport Club for some fish-eye Kung Fu and a Guiness with the legendary Kliph Scurlock. Not sure he's that into it to be honest though."
