Oakland-based folky singer/songwriter Boy Scouts returns with ‘Get Well Soon’, the first single since signing to ANTI-. Boy Scouts is moniker of Taylor Vick, who makes music that’s arresting and ruminating. This is her first release since 2017’s sophomore LP Hobby Limit.

Boy Scouts’ ‘Get Well Soon’ serves as the first glimpse to the forthcoming LP Free Company out on August 30th. Recorded and produced by Stephen Steinbrink, the track packs a sharp punch through its causative lyrics. ‘Get Well Soon’ is an airy-folk pop song comprised of springy bass lines, lush guitars, and Vick’s entrancing vocals. It’s a song of a tranquil nature, radiating with elegance and providing refined sonic fluxes. ‘Get Well Soon’ is pure bedroom-folk, luring you into finding yourself lost with yesterday’s thoughts, occupied by today’s choices, and captivated by tomorrow’s chances.

The new single is accompanied by a music video directed by Ramez Silyan, who’s worked with Lil Peep and co-directed the new documentary about Lip Peep called Everybody's Everything. The visuals for ‘Get Well Soon’ perfectly complement the breezy nature of the track; check it out below.

Here’s what Boy Scouts shared about her new single, "Originally I was unsure about including this song on the record, but eventually decided to give recording it a shot after showing Stephen the demo. It ended up coming together so seamlessly and made the recording process feel pretty magical for us both. Ended up being one of my favorites from the record too!"

Boy Scouts will be headed out on a North American tour this fall with Jay Som. Free Company will be available August 30th via ANTI-.
