With the release of 'Easy On Me' last month, Canadian singer-songerwriter Bradley Arthur Maxwell immediately positioned himself as one of 2019's most exciting new voices. Well, sorta new. Maxwell initially performed under the name Brad Fillatre. But this year, he is stepping out under his own name to thrilling effect.

A minimalist tune packed with staggering emotional heft, 'Easy On Me' was written after Maxwell moved from his home in Newfoundland to Los Angeles. "Winding my wheels, watching the tide as I disappear," he sings, "It’s been a long year."

This weighty track is now getting a lighter accompaniment in the form of a new video, directed by Britt Wilen and starring Maxwell himself in an improvised, one-take dance performance on the beach. Real people pass on by without so much as a glance at Maxwell, somehow underlining his proclamation about feeling "exposed" on the West Coast.
