It was so good to hear Brandy's new single 'Beggin & Pleadin' in January, after such an extended hiatus from releasing new music. The songstress' last album was 2012's Two Eleven so it seemed like a much over-due return. But since then, Brandy has sued her record label for $1 million in damages, after Chameleon Entertainment Group has stood in the way of new Brandy music.

In a complaint filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, she claimed the label "will not pay for her to record new albums or allow her to otherwise release music to her fans." The suit also called the label's actions an "attempt to bully" Brandy into signing a new deal with Chameleon on worse financial terms.
