It's always a nice treat to hear something new from Breton, but in this instance it's not exactly new new, but a remix under their more production-oriented bretonLABS moniker. It's been done for 'The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea', the latest and seemingly only track from Paris/London-based duo, The Living Gods Of Haiti. Named after a 1985 documentary about Haitian vodou, and also referred to as TLGOH, the pair comprises vocalist/lyricist Rebekah, who is half-Syrian, half-English, and Parisian producer, Marc.

bretonLABS turns the original darkly '80s electronic 'The Hunt, The Harvest, The Sea' into a dub-flavoured version of itself, for the most part heavy on fuzzing sub-bass tunnelled beneath clacking skittering drums, at times weaving Rebekah's voice anew between majestic orchestral chords and palm-muted guitar; a mirror held up to the brooding original, reflecting a bright yet low-key counterpart.

You can buy the original track on iTunes should you so desire.
