Aaron Coyes, one half of Los Angeles producer duo Peaking Lights, recently teamed up with emerging UK act Brolin for the stirring summer song 'Portland'.

The track, available below, is the first release since Brolin's breakout EP Cundo, and will feature an accompanying video shot in Southend and Essex in the near future.

On the release, Brolin said, “I wrote Portland last summer. Throughout the process, I was influenced by artists and producers such as Ranking Dread, Horace Andy, The Valentines, Derrick Harriott and King Tubby. When you play a track by any of those artists, there is usually a warmth and humidity that resonates with the listener, even when lyrically the track may have a cold leaning. I wanted to try to emulate that feel with the track.”

The Portland EP is due out September 23rd and will also feature remixes from Brolin's previously released tracks 'Reykjavik' and 'Lisboa' from the likes of Sky Larkin and Moseley.
