London band Bromide have been putting out albums for quite a stretch now, but that doesn't mean they take anything for granted, as they prove on their new song 'Two Song Slot'. The song is a joyously scrappy punkgaze tune in which singer Simon Berridge details a trying night at an open mic event, which eventually turned out to be a triumphant one when he found one appreciator amongst the mostly passive crowd. That's all that matters in the end.

'Two Song Slot' will appeal to fans of bands like Comet Gain or Teenage Fanclub, with its sotrytelling lyricism fitting hand in hand with indie melodicism and all wrapped up in a two-and-a-half minute package. Check it out below.

Bromide's sixth album I Woke Up will come out through Scratchy Records on May 25th.They'll be playing the following dates:

Friday 25th May - Album launch at The Five Bells, New Cross London
Saturday 16th June - Scratchstock #27, Birds Nest, Deptford, London
