The blistered bunch of illuminating pop from Bushwich's Starlight Girls has always stretched the normative boundary of comparisons. And on the band's upcoming album Fantasm, the difficulty of quantifying the here-there-and-everywhere pop styles of the band joyously rises again.

On 'Hero', the second single from the band's new album, Starlight Girls jump around from crowd-happy patterns, bright piano, and a ripping radio-friendly chorus, comfortably rolling into a niche all its own. It's a testament more than anything of the band willing to combine seemingly non-malleable elements and contorting them effortlessly to the will of the track.

Listen to 'Hero' and 'Intrigue', the first single from the band's new album, below. Fantasm arrives via self-release October 13th.
