Bullion has been busy: releasing his Rooster EP last month, producing tracks for Baltimore artist Rye Rye, and now remixing the first single from a musical entity called Society.

You may have heard of Society before, described as the moniker of a musicmaker called Jamie Girdler; but it seems producer Brendan Lynch (Primal Scream, amongst others) is also on board. The single, called 'Protocol', is a jazzy clattering of filmic proportions, brought into the realm of "indie" with snappy guitar lines and raw reverbing vocals.

Bullion's remix takes this in a decidedly more electronic direction, swapping the organicism of the original for building blocks and stepping stones of varying tones of synth bleeps and boops in a structured shuffle of chiptune-flavours; strings soar overhead, altered vocals of the original echo into the void, a delicate beat filled with a select buffet of percussion driving it forward like a futuristic train through a clockwork cityscape.

Speaking of the remix, Society told us:

"We're both huge fans of Bullion and his productions so we were super chuffed when he was up for remixing our new track 'Protocol', and even more chuffed with the results. He's really put his own spin on it."

'Protocol' is out 21st August via Luv Luv Luv and is taken from a debut album by Society, due out early 2016.
