Cara Salimando has earned a great deal of praise behind-the-scenes as a songwriter. She has helped write certifiable jams such as Kesha's 'Hymn' and Dua Lipa's 'Begging.' But now Salimando is stepping up to the microphone, using someone else's words to express a poignant message. Her cover of Cigarettes After Sex's 'Nothing's Gonna Hurt You Baby' is dreamy, hazy and beautiful, and it is all her own.

Much like Salimando's rendition of the song, the video accompaniment is nostalgia-drenched and gorgeous. The evocative black-and-white visuals were designed to transport viewers to a storytelling session out of their childhood.

"We tapped into the nostalgia of the lyric by hanging a sheet in a garage and creating a video reminiscent of sleepaway camp storytelling with an adult twist," said Salimando. "Silhouettes of the mundane things we do when we’re alone and nobody’s watching. These characters exist in two separate worlds going about their two separate lives; They hardly overlap but when they do something shifts."
