Chance the Rapper showed up to Westcott Elementary School in Chicago today, with a purpose. While many who also arrived to hear him speak at a mysterious press conference wondered what that purpose was, he soon unveiled that he is donating $1 million to Chicago Public Schools.

"Our kids should not be held hostage because of political positions," he said. He also shared that last week's meeting with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner wasn't as productive as he would have liked and he urged the governor to take action. "Gov. Rauner, do your job!" he said.
