It's been a busy past week for Chance the Rapper. Being longlisted for the BBC Sound of 2014 poll is a hell of a way to kick the week off for the Chicago rapper.

First up, the much anticipated feature with Childish Gambino, taken from Gambino's upcoming album Because The Internet, finally hit the web today. Entitled 'The Worst Guys', it's a smooth cut featuring references to classic Disney Channel TV show Smart Guy. Only problem is, it might as well not feature Chance at all. Many were expecting a guest verse at the very least and all we get it Chance having a little input in the chorus, so much so that it almost feels like they reined him back so as not to overshadow Gambino. It's a tad disappointing in that respect but still a decent Gambino cut.

Secondly, it appears that Chance is to take part in Justin Bieber's #MusicMonday campaign next week, with a track apparently entitled 'Confident'. Rumours began after Bieber simply tweeter Chance "we are next" which, tweeted from anyone else, could either be veiled fears of a conspiracy theory or a veiled admission of involvement in a conspiracy theory. Alongside this, Bieber also tweeted Diplo, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, and R Kelly, alongside Chance again, declaring "the [sic] have no idea what is coming #journals", apparently a big collaborative track entitled 'Journals'. It doesn't quite strike me as have the potential to be as explosive as one of the year's best rap collabs, A$AP Rocky's masterminded '1Train', but anything with Chance has to be worth a listen.
