HIDE is a Chicago-based duo of fine artist Gabel and percussionist Seth Sher, who formed in 2014 and released their debut LP Castration Anxiety last year. They're making a fairly rapid return on August 23rd with an album boasting an equally bleak title, HELL IS HERE, out on Dais Records.

This paranoia drives the intent of the tracks too, with the band introducing 'Raw Dream' by saying ""Raw Dream" is an anthem for the rise of the disenfranchised - a long overdue and joyous recalibration of an imbalance of power."

The duo immediately leave an impression on 'Raw Dream', juddering beats rippling up from a black core to a surface that is gnarled and bleak. HIDE let just enough air into 'Raw Dream' to sustain its intense sound and energy, with defiant, dreamy and full-blooded voices crying out from within the whirring track, refusing to be lost in the churn of the grinding machinery of life. 'Raw Dream' is a fearsome advertisement of what a future sounds like where people are pushed to the edge, to a point where they have to fight back against the system. Poised to close out the upcoming HELL IS HERE, 'Raw Dream' leaves the listener with a feeling of unsettling anger and agitation.

The video for 'Raw Dream' was created by Eon Mora, check it out below.
