Chvrches have appeared as special guests on a special edition of the Mortified podcast. What's that? Well, what Mortified is a series of podcasts wherein current adults share embarrassing written material of their youth, you know, diary entries, songs, love letters, Myspace profiles, and poetry. That sort of thing.

The difference is this week the podcast features Chvrches, who appear as part of a new segment in which artists are invited onto the show to turn the emotional and angst-riddled pieces of often love-infused creative writing into actual songs. So, the Scottish outfit turn then-14-year-old Nat Miller's poem to Laurel, his love interest at the time, into a song which is also called 'Laurel'.

Listen to the whole podcast below; the song comes in just after the 25-minute mark.
