After collectively smashing through the Los Angels rap scene with 2013's self-released LP midcity, clipping. are prepping for another breakthrough, this time via Sub Pop.

The furious, hyper-literate future rap group showed immense promise on the self-release, following in the ilk fellow California rap group Death Grips. And the new album, CLPPNG, aims to push its gnawing aesthetic even further. The new album, slated for release June 9th, features the alluring 'Work Work' featuring the pitfall fury of Cocc Pistol Cree, which you can stream listen to below.

Pre-orders for CLPPNG will come with downloads of 'Work Work'. The vinyl release of the LP will feature three sides of new music, plus a bonus fourth side of "100 lock grooves."

The group will be heading out on tour as well, stating tomorrow with a series of shows at SXSW. Dates are listed below.
